Back to the Premiership and another stiff test for us. Betway are offering 12/5 for us to win, which I think are generous odds

As of last Sunday it will tell us more about where we're at, which currently looks like a side that can finish 7th/8th imo.
This is the only game on Sunday, so will get a bit of media attention.
I'll go for another desmond.

We won this fixture last year but Villa have improved massively under Emery and their home league form is second only to Man City. W10 D1 L0 since losing to Arsenal in February. They did lose at home to Everton in the League cup a couple of weeks ago though, so maybe that run is coming to an end.
Looking forward to seeing more of Kudus. At least when him or Paqueta are on the pitch you have hope of some excitement, so would be nice to have them both on for 90 mins finally.

Miike’s side is of course the best current XI but Moyes will start with a half-fit Antonio instead of Kudus just to prove a point.

He will also start with Aguerd rather than Dinos.

This has the potential to be a real box of fireworks.
As it's the only Super Sunday game, it's more likely to be a complete damp squib.

I'm not hopeful for this one, but then again, after last season I haven't been hopeful for any of our games thus far so have been very pleasantly surprised.

Absolutely no way does Moyes pick Kudas ahead of the donkey. And in an away game? Not a fucking chance..
And that, amongst many, many other reasons is why I want Moyes sacked.

Clearly it will be the same side. As much as we'd like to see one or two changes, but in today's game subs play a big role in most games, just don't leave it too fucking late.

No way will Kudus start given he's playing in another continent on Thursday morning our time and won't be back until Friday. Unfortunately the same may also apply to Alvarez

I was a day out actually... the games were early hours of Weds not Thurs. May be enough of a difference for him to select Alvarez but will be a reason he can't select Kudus

Villa are currently above us but have had an easy start to the season so far.
We win this 2-0 and finish the day above them in the league.

West Ham are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League games against Aston Villa (W6 D4) since a 1-0 loss in May 2015. Only against Fulham (12 between 2002-2009) and Derby County (11 between 1998-2008) have they had longer runs without defeat in the competition.
Not sure we'll keep that up.

Big game this. Both playing decent football and probably pretty equal in quality. The internationals might have had an impact on some players so will be interesting to see how it plays out. Cagey I recon.

fraser - Are you sharpening the knives as we speak :-)
Let's be honest, much like last last week no one can confidently predict the result. Would I take a draw? Yes, think most would, but this lot are beatable, despite the fanfare.

Manuel - Not really, they've won their last ten league games at home, but haven't beaten us in ten.
One of those records is going to go, you would have to think ours is more likely.

Moyes will play his usual negative lineup with the usual suspects and Kudus on the bench. This lot are there to be got at, they are decent on their day but on paper we are the better side. We have to factor in the massive drag factor of Moyes vs Emery though, Dracula is tactically astute, freddy kruegers ball bag faced Moyes can't even spell tactics. If Antonio fucking turns up for a change we can win this comfortably. But Moyes plus his inability to gee players up after a break tells me it's a 1-1 which is a decent result. I'd actually take the loss if someone fucking cripples McGinn permanently.
